Well-being of the body and mind are often linked in India for example with the ayurvedic methods. Yoga follows that state of mind and joins physical activities with positions called “asanas” , meditation and breathing exercises to bring awareness that body and mind are just one. Kalaripayat is a form of martial art close to yoga adding more physical practice in order to know one’s limits and to overcome them working on the spirit.
