The idea of getting informed about Sita while being in the air above the clouds sounds... weird to you? Actually, it is not that strange anymore as Sita showed up in an article of AirAsia !Indeed, Travel 3Sixty° is the official inflight magazine of the low-cost Airline, AirAsia. A complete magazine which deals with “latest in destinations, arts & culture, heritage, fun & adventure, and of course, AirAsia itself”. In between cultural investigation, the November 2016 edition is having a big report about Pondicherry, as the city which mixes French and Tamil culture. Chitra Santhinathan, accompanied by the photographer Chew Win Win, came to explore all of the multiple sights of the city. That is the reason why they could not escape to get in touch with the cuisine side that got so momentous in Pondy because of all the influence that the city absorbed over the years, and centuries!
Thus, Chitra registered at Sita to share a cooking class with our lovely local teacher, Manisha, and the journalist went out of this experience all delighted. She went to the market to the Goubert Market to get ingredients and to have a glimpse of the routine life of Indians and their shopping habits. Then, they went back at Sita to play with the spices and fresh vegetables in order to cook a Tamil meal which, such as the city itself, even has sometimes a slight splash of French touch... You might get hungry while reading the whole article! Hungry for food, of course, but, most of all, hungry for trying this French-Indian adventure, so specific to Pondicherry.
