For many, Yoga helps to relax and soothe their minds stressed by everyday life; for some, it helps to keep fit and finally for others, it promotes good mental and physical health.

But yoga is above all a philosophy of life whose goal is to achieve unity of body, mind and spirit. Yoga means "union", it is the union of the individual soul and the universal consciousness. This practice is therefore similar to Ayurvedic medicine which does not dissociate the body and the mind to heal a person.
