How to make delicious chicken 65 ?
Behind this odd name, this delicious recipe is made of pieces of boneless chicken marinated in a spicy yogurt and then fried.
So, what does that mean chicken 65? Some says that we need 65 different spices (and even India is the Land of spices, it sounds difficult to get such a variety), or that we use 65 whole chilies to make it spicier.
Others I would likely trust (thought...) tell about 65 days of marinade, use 65 days old chicken or else, that the recipe dates from 1965.
Unfortunately I won't give you the answer, only the famous recipe so you would lick your fingers at home while munching those delicious pieces of chicken.
Ingredients for Chicken 65
Ingredients for 4 :
- ½ kg chicken boneless
- 6 cs yogurt
- 2 cs all purpose flour
- 1 inch piece of ginger that you make into paste with water
- 2 garlic cloves mixed into paste
- 1 cc chili powder
- 1cc garam masala (optional)
- 1 pinch of salt
- Red color (optional, but that's how chicken 65 turns into this great red color)
- Oil to fry
Some onion rings and lemon to accompany with
Mix in a bowl the flour, spices, ginger and garlic paste with yogurt.
Add the pieces of chicken and cover them with the marinade.
Marinate for 1 to 4 h (longer the marinade, better the chicken).
Heat oil in pan and fry the pieces of chicken until they turn golden.
Serve with the onion rings and lemon.
Easy, isn't it?
