It was a Friday in late July when Sita opened its doors for a meeting and sharing afternoon. The public was able to try various workshops made available, an opportunity to discover or rediscover Sita and his big family as it should.
Welcomed at the entrance with Fleur and Lakshmi‘s smiles, participants were guided through workshops they could try for free during the afternoon. Carom, chess, snakes and ladders... a games area with traditional Indian games was set up. Indian games had already been the topic of a Sita’s Friday event right before. The team therefore wants to keep on promoting this aspect of the Indian culture in Sita. Kids and adults have thus enjoyed a playful moment in a warm and family atmosphere.
The public had the opportunity to try out different artistic workshops. Hema, our Mehendi teacher, showed her passion by producing on hands beautiful henna designs. While some let their creativity speak by drawing on the ground with the colored rice powders the harmonious Kolams, others were introduced to Quilling art, with Ageela our Jimikki teacher, and went home with a pair of homemade earrings.
Snacks and music
In Sita’s garden, music and tasty atmosphere was at «rendez-vous». Elie and Philippe, our guitar teachers, shared their music by playing songs and also introduced the audience to the guitar and ukulele. Our Indian and pastry chefs also offered a tasting: cupcakes, samosas and many others ..., delicacies that are made during kids’ sessions and Indian Snack cooking classes.
Wellbeing massage offered
Relaxation was the watchword in the massage room. Sumesh, our therapist, offered people to enjoy the benefit of a head massage: a real moment of relaxation. While on the other side of the wall, a projection room was installed. Sita wants to share the makor moments such as shows and events through videos that trace the life of the association.
Colors, sharing, laughs ... an afternoon as we like at Sita!!
