Manisha an authentic and traditional cuisine from Tamil Nadu
Manisha took the helm and teach Indian cooking classes at Sita. Smiling and always receptive, she will be glad to make you discover traditional south Indian food.
Our teacher is passionate about cooking since her childhood. Formed by women in her family, her mentor is her mother.
Thanks to her experience she gains a cultural opening and it allow her to adapt to each one flavor.
From Orissa, she has a perfect knowledge of its traditional food. Later she moved to Pondicherry.
She was then sent to Sri Aurobindo's ashram school and it opens her to a different culture. She learnt 8 different languages and speaks now fluently French, English and Tamil.
Manisha is a woman with eclectic flavors, open to the world. However she has retained certain simplicity, she cooks traditional dishes from Tamil Nadu with spontaneity, as we eat at home.
Sometimes creative, she reinvents recipes in order to adapt to everybody's taste.
Chili lovers or not, you will get food the way you like!
True skilled cook, she takes care of catering and prepares snacks for schools. She also organizes buffet for openings' exhibitions.
All along the class, Manisha will enjoy to pass on her knowledge about Tamil Nadu's way of cooking and typical ingredients!
Classes are held every Wednesday and/or Friday morning from 10 am with on top of it your home made lunch for 1000 Rupees and much advice.
